As you probably know by know, we etch mostly Apple products. Most of their products are made of metal, specifically steel or aluminum which looks great etched. But sometimes we have people walking into the office that are looking to get other types or products/laptops laser etched. And today Nikhil walked in looking to get [...]

Wow, it has been a while since our last post here. I guess it means we are quite busy with a variety of projects. Today we laser etched our first iPhone4! We were a bit nervous about etching this all glass phone. We started off slowly by running the laser at very low power just [...]

Now this is really cool! We all love our technology. Especially our Apple technology which looks really great on it’s own. But wood also looks great. I don’t know about you but I think that have something as hitech as a Macbook Pro merged with a nice piece of wood looks really amazing. With this [...]

Kristofer just left the studio with his iPad fully customized. It was a bit of a long process, as the artwork wasn’t very clean, but Kristofer got some help converting it to vector and getting it ready to etch. As we expected, the results were great, as the iPad has exactly the same type of [...]

We were extremely excited when approached by Sportsnet to laser etch and manufacture the awards for the “Sportsnet Hottest Bardtender ’10″.

The design was provided to us, which looked really cool, and we had to produce several cards, with variable media, i.e., different Username and Password on each card to allow the VIP guest to login to the Cartel website and try out the new features.

Well… another different type of item etched! Laser etched velvet! Our friend Kerry came over to etch 3 large pieces of high quality velvet for the upholstery of a chair.
There were a few different challenges in getting this done: the size of the velvet pieces was a problem. Fitting all that material inside the laser while keeping it flat was not easy. But Kerry being a designer, found a nice way to fold it and leave some excess hanging out the front of the laser.

We etch a lot of Apple products! I admit it. It’s not because we are major fans of Apple (although their products do look super cool and always etch amazingly well) but because the customers that come into our studio to get laptops etched, most own a version of the Macbook Pro. Today we etched [...]
